A couple of months back I introduced you to X Jewellery and showed you my custom bracelet that had me feeling all kinds of nostalgia. For today’s post we’re taking another look and showing you how I went about reinventing my bracelet by chopping and changing the links.
I don’t know about you guys but whenever a new season is around the corner, especially summer time, I always feel like making a change in my life. Whether it be a style change, a change in my attitude or even a physical change like trying to be more active. Recently I’ve started to have a way more relaxed outlook on life and decided to make a conscious effort not to let the little things stress me out. To look at the bigger picture instead, the end goal, seeking enjoyment in the simplest of things. Life is already complicated enough as it is so why waste time stressing about things that can’t be changed no matter how many hours in the day, the worry might consume my mind, right? If I keep allowing the teeniest of worries to stress me out, I’ll end up missing out on all the happy stuff that happens everyday. X Jewellery is all about sharing stories and I guess reinventing my bracelet has become a nice little accessory towards me ‘reinventing’ my attitude.
One of the many reasons I started blogging was to see a change for muslim women and how we are perceived to everyone else, to give an example that the way we dress doesn’t need to be ‘intimidating’ to others. Hopefully by blogging, me and plenty others are paving the way of success for women of faith in the fashion industry.
Okay, onto the bracelet and what I did to get it Summer ready! I grabbed some of their new pastel violet rubber links, took out all the silver ones and kept the DNA double bronze link as well as the ‘lovers bond’ double bronze link to add some warmth to the now violet dominated bracelet. And obviously I wasn’t going to get rid of the ‘lovers bond’ link when I’ve got so much to love this year. Hana my baby, Sid the hubster and of course the summer season! So much soppiness eh!
Changing the links is super easy by the way, just simply slide them out of each other and slide your new ones back together, literally took me five minutes which meant I could get creative making other ones too. Yep, you guessed it. I made little Hana her very own X Jewellery bracelet! How could I resist?!
